So I'm Pregnant again! Last time I went through birth I had a very very hard time. I had not 1 not 2 but THREE epidural plus pain medication I am considering a c-section but am very reluctant because of the possible scaring how bad is It? Is it completely noticeable?
The scar from my first c-section is barely noticeable at all. You have to try really hard to see it. My second one is slightly above the first one. If epidurals don’t work for you then I wouldn’t recommend a c-section. The spinal I got for my second didn’t work at first and I could still feel my contractions. They had to sit me up and do it again. Definitely the most traumatizing part of the whole experience!
That's what they give you after a csection. I was given fentanyl and I wasnt in a "ghetto" hospital. That's the pain meds you'll require. I have a pretty high pain tolerance, but I was loving on that pain pump.
@worlds.okayest.mom exactly what I mean but i live in a very very ghetto neighborhood so these nurses were giving me narcotics
You'll still get one regardless of whether or not you go to sleep. I would just ask for IV pain meds instead of the epidural. A csection isnt worth the risk just to skip the epidural.
Woah I have been freaking out but I really do not want to go through the epidural pain again
The risk is way too high. They had to for my son and I asked for it the second time and they told me no way. Anything that goes through you goes through the baby and that's some pretty heavy stuff to have going through a newborn
Would the doctors put me to sleep since epidurals really don't work for.me
@novaavalos00, if you’re able to do a natural birth then definitely go for it! In my opinion you really need to have a fast labor in order to have a natural birth but if you have a high tolerance for pain then maybe you’ll be able to do it with a longer labor. I tried with my first but my labor was sooo long and I wasn’t dilating fast enough so after 32 hours I ended up with a c-section.
