When did you ladies start facing forward your almost two year olds?

California requires babies to be at least 2 years old. I wanted to rearface my son past 2, but he was constantly getting sick in the car :/ right after his 2nd bday is when we start putting him forward facing and he hasn’t thrown up since. It was almost a guarantee that he would throw up on the car ride

I'll add that I want to encourage you to rearface for as long as possible (within guidelines for your particular car seat) 😊

We rearfaced until 4 1/2, almost 5 years old. Now he is 6 and we use a high back booster. I wished I could have kept him in a 5 point harness longer, but he had a growth spurt and outgrew the limits of our car seat.

I front faced my son when he was 20 months old (1yr 8mo). He's very tall so he hit the height limit

My daughter will be RF until she outgrows her graco extend 2 fit. She’s currently 2 & 1/2.

I want to make it to at least 3.

We bought the Extend2Fit so we can rear face as long as possible. He’s 28 pounds right now, so he’ll be at least 4, if not older.

My son will be 2.5 next month and he's still rear facing. He's tiny so he'll definitely RF until at least 4, if not longer.

Still rf both girls and plan to for as long as possible

I am so afraid I love having my son facing backwards I feel safer but I keep seeing all these babies facing forward and just want to cry because some of them are just to little and aren’t even a year

My boy was to tall before age 2, but Ohio State law says they have to be at least 2 years old. So that's what I did

I never forward faced my almost two years olds. I waited until they reached the limit. My girls are tall so they reached the height limit first, well after their third bdays.

Both of my kids are still rear-facing. I'm hoping to make it to 4yrs old.

They do say they recommend rear-facing until they reach the car seat weight & height limits.

I still have my son rear facing and he's almost 2 and a half. I don't see the point in trying to turn him around yet. Plus it's safer. His car seat goes to 40 pounds rear facing so he has about 5 more pounds to go but I plan on buying him a extend to fit carseat so he can rear face until 3 or 3 1/2. My sis turned her son around at 2 he's now 5 and her 1 1/2 year old is still in an infant carseat(She's little lol)

My first was almost 3 and my 2nd will surpass that. Their bones aren't matured for forward-facing collision until about 4.
