They take blood from your arm and inject it into the spinal pocket where the epidural was given. A tiny bit of pressure and the headache is gone in minutes.

I haven't had that experience but my friend did and she needed to get a blood patch

@beautiful_bliss Mine was so severe I had to have a blood patch done to plug the spinal leak. Sometimes you have to do that. If it's not improving call your OB and tell them you would like a blood patch. Yes, you'll have to go to the OR and have it done but it can be done via outpatient. Only takes a few minutes to do.
