Ok so I changed my baby’s doctor because I didn’t like how they were treating and handling him there, so I toke him in to see if he can get tested for autism but the doctor told me that he knew off the back he didn’t have it because he would’ve shown signs of it, but he gave me an referral to metro care just in case he was wrong and so I’m sitting here thinking should I go ahead and test him or not

Yes!! Get him tested!!
Look at it this way, if you get him tested and he's not, then you know for sure and there's no harm no foul.
But if you take him and he is on the spectrum then you can get services in place and start all the necessary therapies.
It's been proven that the younger autistic children start interventions, the better their lives are when adults.
My nephew was diagnosed with autism when he was almost 3. You can definitely see the possitive affect all of his therapies have had on him now that he's 4.5 years old.
