I’d alternate between Tylenol and Motrin if she’s old enough. I did that with my 1 year old and it seemed to help and stop the fevers

I could be wrong, but I thought teething could only cause low grade fevers. 102 would mean the body is fighting something off. I wouldn’t give Tylenol unless baby has other symptoms other than temp. I actually don’t do Tylenol at all. Motrin after 6 months.

Have you taken him in to his pedi? My baby tends to get ear infections when she’s teething.

@lori0711 @laniejay @inkedsouthernbelle yes I took my daughter to the pediatrician. He also told us that we need to trade on and off between Tylenol and Motrin to help keep her fever down. She was checked and nothing else is wrong with her other than her teething and she is running super high fevers due to it. Most babies do not get over a hundred unless something is wrong however there is that 1% chance that a child will run a higher fever if their body core temperature runs higher than most. I was the same way as a child so she is okay and even acts like she's okay other than her burning hot you would not know that she is sick at all.

@kaytibug2009, mine ran a 104 fever one day and scared the shit out of me. He didn’t have any other symptoms but Motrin took it down within 20 minutes at the ER. 3 days later he got flu like symptoms that lasted 3 days without the fever so just keep an eye out for more symptoms and check fever regular

@inkedsouthernbelle yeah she jumped to 104 this morning at 3 something in the morning and after motrin and tylenol every few hours we have kept it down. Nothing else is wrong though... freaks me out

@kaytibug2009, I bet! I rushed atlas to the ER when I saw that 104 temp and thank god the Motrin worked because I was a nervous wreck. They tested him for everything, Mono, pneumonia, strep throat, etc but everything was negative so I was at a loss for days and then all of a sudden he was sick with the flu. Hopefully it’s not that way for your little one but just in case keep a close eye out for other symptoms so you can catch whatever it is early. Poor little baby!

@inkedsouthernbelle yeah when her first tooth came through she was hitting 104.4 temps and they tested her for everything but nothing came up and we caught the fevers for 3 days and then she was just fine. Nothing came up... now it's almost like the same thing. Freaks me out but nothing is there other than her teeth.

@kaytibug2009, poor baby. I hate the teething stages, but I’m glad there’s nothing else and she’s acting normal. I hope the fever goes away soon I know how scary that can be for us moms
