Will they ask my fiance for an ID at the hospital the day our son is born?

I don’t think so... they never asked my husband for an id..

Since the father of my kids and I weren’t married they asked to see his when he signed saying he was indeed the father but i don’t know about other places

They may. I believe they asked for mine and my husbands, but I can’t remember. I could be wrong.

My hospital told us we have to bring I'd for all people accompanying me . So my husband and my mother has to have their ids

Not really no, they didn’t ask one for when I gave birth to my first son and I wasn’t married yet.

My so and I aren't married and they did ask him when he signed our children's birth certificates. But I know someone that had their relatives sign one of their kid's father's names years ago so I'm assuming bk then they didn't ask... Decades ago!

Like everyone else stated, he needs one to fill out the paternity paperwork. My ex forgot his and they wouldn't let him sign so he isn't listed on my daughters birth certificate.

If he’s just a boyfriend he needs his id to sign anything for the birth certificate. Because his identity needs to be proven

With married people there’s a legal assumption of paternity so for them ID is per hospital policy and loads make visitors show id. With non married couples you get to deal with the hospital policy and the government policy the government requires ID be shown for the paperwork
