I was just able to order my breast pump through my insurance and all and it will be here Monday! I haven’t done a lot of research into breast feeding not knowing that I would be able to up til this point so I have nothing and no ideas of what I need really... so! Moms that have breast fed.... what are your must haves???
@tribe.of.judah, I see, thank you I was curious because I’d never heard of them before. And @shelby.wrightx3, thats some reassurance! 😅😅
Research deep latching vidoes bc if you dont know what your doing while latching the baby on your nipple the baby will be sucking on it the wrong way and it will start to feel like your nipple is raw. Trust me, this is my 3rd baby and breast fed all my babys but this time i was all been there done that saying i didnt need help and I did... i researched latching videos on YouTube and it helped. My nipples were raw, i was in tears during feeding time and my babys pediatrician suggested to research better latching techniques and i did, within 2 days i was better, my nips were better and no pain. Best feeding supposed to be painfree if there is pain your doing it wrong.
My pediatrician I found to be my babies doctor told me he wants to see me after 5 days because the first 3 he said I’ll be feeling like a failure as a mom. He said all moms who breastfeed go through it because it’s a lot harder than it looks.
@tribe.of.judah, the freebie cups are like a substitute for storage bags? Or are they not so great for storing ?
Definitely see a lactation consultant and go to breastfeeding classes. You can make everything work. The latch and knowing that your do everything the right way is gold. Nursing bras are very convenient. Lanolin is really nice but I had better luck healing my nips with expressed milk, and air dry.
