I’ve got a question for you all, did any of your baby’s decide not to learn how to crawl? We do lots of tummy time but I think she won’t learn to crawl but skip that and maybe bum scooch or go straight to walking instead.

@mommy1991, yes is helps with motor skills, kids that skip crawling tend to hyperextend limbs and have issues with cross over motions.. ie. May no be good at soccer or ball, but would be great in track or skiing. ☺️

My son went right to walking... it is VERY important for development for them to crawl. Just keep her on the tummy

I'm not a doctor but I did go to an osteopath (spelling?) And she told me to really make sure that my daughter learns to crawl first because the crawling develops important muscles in their chest. I don't know how urgent it is to make sure that happens. My daughter did end up crawling. I heard of babies tgat skip crawling though. Like I said this is just what I was told. I don't know for sure.

@raqueliiosiis, yea I might do that on her next appointment, but I’m sure my doctor would’ve said something if there was something wrong he normally does check her hips as well so we will see.

My niece actually didn’t crawl until she was 1.5 years old. She wanted to but it turns out she has a hip issue. If your concerned bring it up to the pedi
