@gemmatimoney94, my partner works 9-5 so I don’t have a choice other to go on my own😞 I’m shit with needles so I’m hoping they’ll take it out of each arm not the same one. No I don’t drive but my partner is taking me in morning then getting the bus back, I’ll feel crap with not eating and stuff Xx

@lozjessop_ yeah if you have a good one! I have a shit phone battery would be gone within an hour if I was constantly on it. Haha. Buy a couple of mags and chill out.. Im going on my own too hun, the joys. By partner works nights so he'll be asleep by then and its not fair to drag him along. Do you drive? Just becareful because Ive been told that it could make you feel a little funny. I'm driving xx

@karla22, it will kill me from 10pm tonight just drinking water😶 I’m dreading been sat there for 2 hours. Do they take blood from same place in arm? As I’ll struggle with that I want it from both arms not the same Xx

@lozjessop_ yeah they do a blood test then u drink a thick ish warm orange lucozade drink (which I thought was quite nice because from 10pm the night before it was water only! And I was starving and really thirsty for something other than water lol) then 2 hours after another blood test. They compare the numbers and over a certain figure means u have GD. Took 2 days for my results xx

Im not too sure hun I think so yeah. My next door neighbour had it she told me all about it. Since midwife told me I had traces of glucose I've just been drinking icy water everyday haha cut out the fizzy pop! Xx

@gemmatimoney94, I went in around 2 weeks ago cause that’s when they booked me in turned out my weeks weren’t right and they messed up cause I weren’t 25 weeks🤦🏻‍♀️ so had to book again, it’s around a 2 hours appointment go in have bloods done then drink that drink and wait 2 hours or whatever and have it done again Xx

Apparently you have to drink a really sugary drink its not nice but just neck it back. Then they do your bloods... Thats how they see apparently xx

@gemmatimoney94, I’m just going straight for the glucose test, I’m dreading it hate needles got to go on my own too X

They did this with me. They test your urine and if it shows traces of glucose then they will do a urine sample next appointment and if its still the same they will do further tests for GB. Luckily It didnt show for me the second time.. x

@karla22, when we had our first midwife appointment my BMI were 30 then I went for our 12 weeks scan and it was 31, that’s only reason they’ve sent me for it. But when I had my 20 weeks scan they never tested to see what it was🤷🏻‍♀️ how long does it take to get results back? Xx

@lozjessop_ well I was sure I was going to have it due to my midwife saying because my bmi is slightly high I am more prone and because I eat lots of sweets, cakes and drink fizzy pop (bad cravings lol). But I haven't got it thank god xx

@lozjessop_ fingers crossed everything is ok for you then. When I had my urine tested at 28 and 29 weeks I had protein, blood and ketones in mine! But I don't have an infection, and the ketones mean dehydration.. I got told off for that lol x

@mummyroo91, @karla22, I’m due in tomorrow for the glucose test, we went to midwife yesterday and she did my urine and said there’s nothing in my urine all is normal X

@lozjessop_ the dip stick tests that midwives use in your urine detect sugars I think, which can be an indication x

I think there may be some signs but not a definite answer, no
