This is why I told my fiance that I did not want a pool when we were househunting. No matter how careful you are, how much you watch, how much you prepare, accidents like this can happen. Yes, they are preventable, but anytime you're around water, drowning can happen. Even in a bathtub. My son has slipped outside so often now that I installed buzzers on the doors. (He can unlock the door too 😣) He's just started swimming lessons and even in that controlled environment, the fear of drowning is always on my mind.
That poor boy. That poor family...His sisters....I hope the AAP listens to her, and to everyone who lends their voice. Adding that to those questionnaires really is a simple way to alert parents to the danger. An extra minute or two in your visit.
This is so heartbreaking and I hate that she blames herself. A minute passes by so quickly.. When you’re in the safety of your home or personal space you tend to relax your guard, even if it’s just a little and unfortunately, sometimes that’s all it takes for an accident to happen.. prayers for her and her family. She shouldn’t blame herself but I hope she can forgive herself.
This so so sad! Rip Levi and to all the children that have lost there lives and prayers to their family! I’m glad she is speaking out about it and trying to help other family’s and kids.
So sad. Rip sweet little boy. And hundreds of other kids that have died from drowning. I can’t even imagine the mother grief I don’t want to imagine that.
It’s so sad😢 My friends husband lost his hearing at a very young age cause he was drowning and thank God he survived.

But it's true. We worry about so many little things that in the long run don't matter. Too much screen time, am I feeding enough organic foods, etc. Things like this don't get enough attention. 😔
