You won’t lose the string. It’s naturally pretty long even if the tampon is all the way up. Mine have never fallen out, but they have moved down a little. I never leak if I change it every 3-4 hours. Just make sure to wipe well down there before you put the suit on so that the leftover blood doesn’t go onto it. I use Kotex I think. It comes in a black box and the tampons are different colors.

I started with the diva but after having a baby I don't like it. I have a few different ones I use now. The fem cup or something. There's sooo many on amazon, can't go wrong with any @izzyaspie

You can dump it and reinsert or sometimes I wipe it out with a wet wipe or toilet paper. Nbd

If you decide to do the pad thing with shorts on be careful, the pads can absorb the water instead of the blood and detach from your underwear or could cause the blood to leak out. Speaking from experience. I was that sad little girl who started her period at the age of 12 and I was too afraid of tampons then. 😳

Get a cup girlfriend 🙄 tampons soak up the water and get so uncomfortable. You won't be able to lose it when it's full of blood and water. It also holds in all that nasty public water.

Sit on a toilet. TMI but to get it in easier kinda spread your legs far apart to get it in. It took me a few tries to figure it out the first time I ever wore one
