Anyone’s baby have a milk protein allergy, and is on a soy based formula? How did you resolve the constipation issue. 😣…

Oh I forgot Greyson had to have liquid medicine to smooth things up a little I did it one time and the next day he’s poop was runny that also seemed to help push things along. Like I said he still gets clay like poop not all the time but when he has a hard time pooping I give him a little bit of the medicine

@miaheka, yeah probably. And don’t worry I still get panicked and worry. I believed Greyson to be lactose bc his father and I are both lactose and then he would go 7 days or more without pooping when he was on advanced so I switched him. So yeah it’s gonna take a while for it to gets washed out of his system and his body gets use to it

@meggcragle, okay... so it could just be the transition to soy and let up soon? I worry so much when it comes to his poops. 😭😅🙃

@miaheka, he still sometimes has hard poop but not nearly as bad as it was. It’s more like clay poop tho. He only poops once a day or every other day and that’s how he’s been. But when I switched him it did make his poop really hard for awhile bc of the transition of formula

@meggcragle, is it hard? I feel like he has both clay like poop and constipation. He struggles so much to poop very little. :/

Greyson still has clay like poop but the doctor said it’s better than being constipated

@miaheka, I give 2 ounces to her in her regular bottle and make sure to burp her and I usually give it to her in the evening time at least two hours after a feeding, I noticed she doesn’t spit it up when I space it out from a regular feeding. I was hesitant too at first even though its what her doctor told me to do, I just personally didn’t like the idea of her having juice, but it really does help her a lot.

@brittany_blessing, how do you give it to her, how much and when? I’m hesitant about giving him prune juice, but if it works, I guess I’ll have no choice but to try it.🙃

@meggcragle, B.’s been on enfamil newborn till 3.5 months. That’s when his milk allergy kicked in. He’s been on the enfamil prosobee soy formula for 4 days now and he has a hard time pooping. When he does it comes out like clay? 😣 @reeahsoblessed, @brittany_blessing,

@miaheka, no, I never mix it! And I never give it to her too soon before or after a feeding.

My baby girl is on a soy based formula and it makes her very constipated sometimes. Lately she’s been doing a little better, but her doctor told me to start giving her 1.5-2 ounces of prune juice a day and it honestly helps

My son been on soy formula since he was 4 weeks old it soothes him and no constipation ever he will be 9 months on Thursday.

My son was on advanced and was constipated or not pooping and I switched him to soy and it’s been a lot better
