@1818.whiterabbit, I did not. I only have stretch marks on my hips from before I was pregnant. Regardless of whether the products actually work, it's still good to keep your skin hydrated while it's stretching!
They are hereditary. My mom doesn't have them but barely and super light mine are the same way. You can use coconut oil to moisturize your self and help with elasticity of skin and that might curb them a little. But they are nothing to be ashamed of or scared of, it's apart of what I like to call your "mother body" it's nothing to be shunned or looked down on.
I used palmers, it works, anything that I could find. I thought it worked, I maybe got 1-2 while I was pregnant where my belly ring was, and then they all showed up AFTER my baby was born.
@taylorsmommy1017, that i can’t do my mom passed away but as far as i could remember she didn’t have any but that’s not necessary true it’s my aunt has then & her daughters doesn’t , my oldest sister has them bad & my second oldest doesn’t . i believe it’s pretty much based on you keeping your skin moisturize enough while your body is expanding & going thru the changes
I started with Palmers but hated the smell so I switched to Burt's Bees Mama Bee Belly Butter. It kept my skin hydrated and prevented itchiness. I'm using it again this pregnancy.
@lynnaae, I’ve been using aquaphor and exfoliation. I just don’t know if that’s gonna be enough to improve the elasticity of my skin. I’ve used aquaphor on wounds that looked like they were going to scar up terribly, but now there is minimal, if not no scarring. I just don’t know 😂
