Soooo it's been super odd now and I'm trying not to change in front of him but he always finds me. I don't even know how he learned that? I'm sure I've said boobs and stuff around him 😐
My sons 2 and I take showers and baths with him still. It’s good for children to understand their bodies and the differences between men and women. When he tries to grab my boobs are something I just explain that it hurts mommy when he grabs at them and that they are for feeding the baby. He’s usually pretty chill with it all.
2 1/2 with my oldest he started noticing the differences and asking questions. I explained things but I figured that was time to quit showering. He'll walk in on me from time to time but I don't purposely change in front of him
Yeah around 2 because that’s when he was potty trained and he noticed that I have things that are different. And I was like okay let me go back to the bathroom 😂
@ecahanes, in that case, I would have an honest conversation with him. Ask him why he wants to touch your breasts. Teach him the appropriate terms. Explain to him why you don't want him to touch your breasts.
I think it depends on what you’re comfortable with and what experiences you’ve had that influence your view of nudity. I still change in front of my 6 year old son and 3 year old daughter. We’ve always tried to answer questions about differences in our bodies with age appropriate honesty, so that they’re comfortable with their bodies. I agree with @northwoodsmomma, that you should talk with him about it and teach him.
Around 3 years. I don't mind explaining body differences and proper terms etc but I don't find it necessary to change in front of our boys unless we are in hotel rooms etc. I also wanted to start teaching the concept that bathroom time means private time (baths, showers, toileting, etc) so that they learn boundaries too.
