Good morning, Mamas, Angels, Beauties, and Bosses!

It’s Mondaaaaaaaayyyyy!! Are you feeling recharged? Did you take time to rest and enjoy yourself this weekend? Are you ready to take on whatever the week may bring?

I know there are plenty of images that circulate nearly every social media platform we use that remind us of how much we’re supposed to dread Mondays.

But why?!? Who decided that TODAY would be one of the most unappreciated days of the week?!? Why is that the mindset of the general consensus?!?

Today I challenge you to shift your perspective. For those that struggle with finding some likability on days like today.

Create a morning ritual, specifically for Monday’s, that leave you feeling good! Refreshed. Ready to take life head on. Excited for the new discoveries that await you. Happy for the good news that is coming your way. Confident in your abilities to be the self motivated, multitasking, mission driven Mama that you are!

If it takes a bit more coffee and mascara, so be it! If it means making YOUr favorite breakfast, even if the kids don’t care for it, so be it! If it means running five minutes behind because you changed into that outfit that makes you feel sexy, so be it! If it means listening to YOUR favorite song(s) and pulling the plug on the Sesame Street rhymes...guess what..SO BE IT!

I wouldn’t be honest if I made it seem like EVERY morning is a Grand Morning. It’s not. But I’ll be damned if I don’t decide to make it one. It may be 12pm before it happens, but I always get there!!

Do yourselves a solid favor, Mamas, and enjoy today like it’s the best day you’ve ever had. Tomorrow has yet to happen, and yesterday is history. What matters is what’s happening right now. Minute by minute, Mamas. YOU get to be the ruler of your days.

My morning ritual actually includes Rí Bear. We take our time getting out of bed. After reciting positive affirmations, I make a conscious effort to ask if she had pleasant dreams, despite her inability to articulate them. But as her Mama, I can tell if they were or not. I trust her expressive responses to my line of questioning. We enjoy breakfast together after a diaper change, and hit the play mat until she decides she’s ready for a nap. Depending on the day’s tasks, I’ll either take some time out for myself to work, get some extra 😴, enjoy some solfeggio frequencies/meditations, or just BE with my thoughts and translate them onto paper. When I’m in a good space, so is baby girl!
