So I've decided I'll be getting Delilah's footprint and name tattooed on one calf, and Violets foot print and name on the other, after Violet's born of course.
And down the road, when we're we own our own home, married,and the girls are a bit bigger I really hope to adopt a boy and get his hand print. But we've got a long while before we get there.
it's nice to imagine though 💕
Can anyone tell me there experiences with adoption? Was it an easy process or very expensive,? I know my cousin and his wife fostered for a few years before he adopted a newborn. Not saying I'd need a newborn but an under two year old would be nice .
@jessig2006
I'd probably end up fostering to adopt too, all that money could go towards taking care of our babies .
Like I said it will be a long while before I start the process. Just thinking about if it will even be an option, gotta do my research too
We will be adopting but we are looking into fostering to adopt. There's alot more risk in the fact that the parents can come back with in a certain amount of time and get their child back but straight adoption is very expensive $20,000+. We always wanted to adopt no matter what and I can't wait to start the process. I hope it goes well lol but we've just looked into our options at this point.

So at work we have a drink thief. Any time we put a drink in the fridge it disappears. I swear I know who it is. So far he's taken drinks from everyone that works in the office, we even put a sign to not take anything you didn't pay for and wrote our names on the drinks. The person I think is taking them works out of the office so we never get to see who is drinking them.

My only advice is to check out the agency you’re goin through as if you were a lead detective on a case to save the world. There are so many terrible ones out there especially over seas who profit off of orphaned children or even children that have been taken from their families it’s unreal. I’m gonna adopt when my kids start school and I’ve seen so many documentaries and heard first hand experiences from friends who’ve adopted that they felt they were taken advantage of financially as well as they played into their emotions and even kept the child from them for years only to keep profiting off them financially claiming paperwork, visa, and other document issues. It’s a sick world we live in when organizations pretend to be there for children but really are there to make a quick buck hustling orphans. It’s more expensive to adopt locally but you are also given a more hands on experience and legalities aren’t usually an issue. It’s a wonderful thing that you’re doing so please know you could be in for a long, hard, expensive fight but keep your goal in mind constantly and that’s that you’re rescuing an orphaned child from a terrible situation and providing them with a loving and safe place to call home in a family. Something they’ve probably yet to experience.
