So I’m wanting to get my tubes tied after this baby and I’m getting so frustrated of people saying I’ll regret it and it’s an awful idea. Mostly people say me being 25 is too young. I should wait until my mid 30’s to do it. We will have 1 girl and 1 boy about 15 months apart. To me that is the perfect size family. Also we didn’t plan either baby but didn’t really protect against it either. Just thought I couldn’t get pregnant really since I never conceived when we bd on O days. Both babies were conceived on months we were busy and barely had sex lol. Anywho. I can’t take certain birth controls due to my aura migraines and I am not a fan of the IUD’s I hate the thought of some foreign object in me. Idk. But people keep saying what if when the kids are older you decide to have another or want another. Uhhhhh I don’t wanna start all over. That’s just not for me I guess. But I find it crazy so many people have an opinion on something that frankly doesn’t obtain to them.

Girl I'm getting my tubes completely taken out after this one! I wanted a hysterectomy but insurance won't pay for it. I'm 26 with soon to be 4 kids and I just do not want anymore everyone keeps telling me I might change my mind but nope not me I know for a fact my husband and I don't want anymore

I actually thought about it when I was pregnant with my second son when I was I think 24 or 25. The dumb receptionist is like well what if your house burns down with your kids inside....like wtf is wrong with you! Who says that shit! If you feel that is what you want then it's what you want. It's your body and no one should tell you other wise.

@nbentley88, that is messed up for someone to say but I get what she was talking about. But still. Yikes.
And honestly I feel that if we do change our mind down the road there are other options such as IVF or adoption. But I highly doubt it will ever come to that.

There's no problem getting your tubes tied, not to mention if you ever change your mind it can be undone.

Do what you want. It's your body and choice. If you change your mind down the road, there are many children needing a home. You can always adopt or foster.
