You’d think I’m nesting the way I’ve been cleaning and organizing my home within the past 48hrs.

But nope, I’m eclipsing. I’m getting grounded in a good way lol. I’m making room for greater, healthier things to come in. As a visual, and highly perceptive being, I just can’t DO clutter. It clouds my thinking. My creativity. My ability to function.

I may be a little late with spring cleaning, but hell in the past 6-8mo I’ve packed up my belongings from MD and NC, shipped them a week before we left for CA, made my daughter’s 6mo appt before we left MD, said goodbye to my Mama (😭 I’ve never been this far from her), mentally and spiritually prepared myself to parent Rían without my usual support system, AND try to prepare her as best I could for her first flight EVER (she did phenomenal by the way!).

My point being...the last thing I had time for once we arrived was getting my space organized. We slept on an air mattress until our belongings were delivered, 2wks later. But I knew I wouldn’t feel grounded/stable until I stopped living out of suitcases.

Still no furniture, but we’ve got a comfortable bed to sleep on and food in our fridge. And Wi-Fi! Our space is coming along nicely.

I’ve had to learn how to pack light.

It feels good.

It feels free.

What’s something you know would give you that sense of freedom, if only you’d do it?
