I hate bad doctors. I have a friend who was 39w last week and she kept telling me her doctor was saying to induce her because baby was getting "too big????" she avoided the induction and had her baby boy on her due date today...ended up in c section because of cord but the baby is 7lbs. Seriously. Im so skeptical...that's why I love my midwives

That is not too big. Both of my kids were over 7lbs & I know plenty of ppl who have babies that are 9 or even 10 lbs, and there can be complications from the induction medication. Her dr probably thought it was best to avoid induction if possible for that reason.

@mlmspm, noo doctor wanted to induce her. She avoided induction by telling her no

Sorry. I misread that. I thought you meant she wanted to be induced and the dr said no.

It’s the business of being born ( look it up), glad I’m taking the midwife route this time too.

@sunflowerfields, i agree

It could be the baby was getting to big for her. Not all uteruses are the same size. I know I have a small one

This is one of my fears too. Thankfully my doctor seems to be on board with letting things happen naturally unless of course I need an intervention. Both doctors I’ve seen have told me that they want to avoid having to induce and assured me they wouldn’t give me pitocin just because.
