I regret co sleeping. Almost 3 years later and we are still paying for it. Being pregnant sleeping with a toddler and snoring husband on a queen blow up mattress isn't fun.
And my toddler gets up early on the weekends and terrorizes us. This new baby will NOT be sleeping with us! I didn't do it with my first, don't know what I was thinking.
Thank God we will have a new mattress for our King set soon enough. Gotta appreciate the small stuff, like a comfortable bed YO.

Not saying your mad. Just saying enjoy it more. I get kicked right in the damn eye every night. I know I'll catch up on sleep when the kids are out the house. 😊

@cams @amysbabies he has his own room and bed, doesn't want to sleep in there
@amysbabies he also had a lot of energy. Not really looking for a resolution at this point, I can handle it but I won't be doing it again - co sleeping.
@jaygirls yeah I cherrish every moment as well - but I do mind missing sleep at times, I think most people would. I also work full time. I'm not saying I'm mad about it ...that wasn't the purpose of my post.

@angelfoodcake, so do you think cosleeping is the problem, or that if in his own bed, he would still come in for the workout? Just asking, because every child is different :). Maybe there’s a fun, safe activity you could start him on in the morning then go back to sleep? Does he get really active with any shows he watches? I know my daughter gets super into head shoulders knees and toes and gets a lot of energy out. Just trying to think of something to help :)! Or maybe a slightly later bedtime would help him sleep in a bit later?

I coslept with all three of mine and occasionally the other two come on to my bed. I don't mind it because one day they are going to grow up and move away. Our children are only children for a short percentage of their lives and I'd like to cherish every moment even if it means losing sleep. ❤

i co slept with my daughter until she was 6 months. They say the 6/7 month mark is the best to transition

i coslept with my daughter and transitioned her into sleeping in her own bed and it was so easy, sometimes she does wake up and come sleep with us but rarely

You have plenty of time to transition him to his own bed/room. You should start now.

We coslept with our daughter and recently (a bit earlier in my pregnancy) started transitioning her out. We did it very slowly and there was a tough few weeks, but it was all worth it. She still comes in at 5am or so to snuggle, but I’m okay with it. I think it made it a bit more difficult for me, because not only did she co sleep, but she was an all night nurser as well, which is what we spent the most time eliminating. Once we eliminated the night nursing, it seemed we were over the hump and wasn’t nearly as hard. I still nurse her to sleep though and we put her to bed with a sipper cup of water—- this keeps her in her bed longer as she gets super thirsty in the middle of the night. When she is “terrorizing” you in the morning, have you tried handing her your tablet or phone to play on? Ive done this on days I was sick, but honestly am an early bird and up before her 98% of the time.
