Anyone in Houston know of a good electric company

@motherof3nigerianprincesses, please let me know when you find one. Our summer light bills are always $400 n up. Any other time of the year about $250-300. We are with Direct Energy and obviously paying to much.

@alinares81 how many kwh are you using and at what rate?

@motherof3nigerianprincesses, lol I have no idea. Which is probably why I’m paying so much. I never paid attention. We were in a contract but it ended for the last year we are month to month. Our home is 2300sq ft. If I’m not mistaken it’s probably about 11 cents

@alinares81 yeah I would look into that because there are ones that are 9 cents and they give you credit if you go over 1000kwh

@motherof3nigerianprincesses, there are so many to choose from and they all swear to have the lowest rate. Also some always have these hidden charges and I’m afraid to get into one and be stuck by contract. I’m definitely going to look into another provider though. I hope you find one as well.

See if discount power is available in your area. I’m in dfw and use them, they have great rates!

I used just energy they have a program go on now I been paying low light bill since February he’ll light bill less in a $100 every month
