Baby daddy was speaking on how HE doesn't understand how anybody could be "stressed out" when "all they have to do is take care of baby and not work or anything like that" Okaaaay? I said have YOU ever had to do that? Nah, so you have no idea what it is like. I lost my freaking marbles taking care of my son 24/7 for over six months when he was an infant, I go even crazier now having to take care of him 24/7. I like to work and have adult conversations and after some time it gets to really take a toll on a person. It is a FULL TIME JOB in itself. I am honestly dreading spending more than two months at home with both kids if somehow that is what happens..... I CAN take six months off work (and have NO money) but I will probably only take three months max.
Anyways DONT speak on things you know nothing about, buddy. He finds it easy taking care of his son NOW, but he wasn't around much when he was a baby and has no idea what any of that is like. Stressful, after months and months of being home with baby.... Stressful doesn't begin to cover it alrighttt

It's a different type of stress. Not deadlines, bosses and mentally taxing, but nonetheless stressful. I've been a sahm for 3 years now, and there are definitely days that I miss going to work. I feel very lucky to be home with both of my children but as you said, it is a full time job in itself. And there is no clocking out at the end of a hard day off tantrums, messes, teaching, etc. I don't think that men really understand that aspect unless they've been able to be a sahd at some point. My husband knows that I am constantly busy, but it doesn't really sink in unless he is watching them on his own. (Today I took a 3 hour nap while our toddler was napping. That meant that he just had to deal with our son. Well, our son really showed out today with the extreme fussiness and refusing to be calmed. When I woke up and came downstairs, I could just tell that my husband had one of those experiences that he just "gets it" now. He has been all compliments tonight on how I handle both kids and still manage to maintain the house as well. It's really cute, tbh). Maybe you need to arrange more daddy-baby time so he can truly understand what you've gone through.

Ugh my husband said something like that to me yesterday (he said I don’t need a break because taking care of my toddler is easy) and I legit lost my shit like I never have before. I have never been so angry. This shit is fucking exhausting and emotionally taxing... especially when I’m pregnant. Fuck him.
