@pearce5443, ive suffered terribly with it since I was 10. I get it probably a week every month. Sometimes it’s that bad I have to run up and down the stairs, crack all my bones in my legs ankles knees and toes, and stretch.
When I was pregnant it was heightened x10.. also when it’s warm or I’m anxious it’s heightened.
Take a bath in Epsom salts, and get someone to massage your legs before bed with baby oil or baby lotion and stretch them before you get into bed. It’s so hard with RLS because you have trouble sleeping anyway when pregnant, and then having this too it’s a nightmare, you feel like you’re never able to sleep! Let me know how you get on with the massage/stretch/bath. It works for me 70% of the time xx
@pearce5443, 100% makes sense I know the exact feeling you’re talking about. It’s like a dull ache or shooting pain and you feel like you have to kick out, it’s horrible! Wouldn’t wish it on my worst enemy. Getting comfy seems impossible 😄 let me tell you something though, the more you hold back and try not to move them the worse it gets, my doctor told me it’s like Tourette’s. If you try and keep it from coming out, it will come out much worse and for longer when it does! If you feel like you need to shake or kick, do it. Eventually your legs will tire xx
@gem_1618 Oh god no wonder it's getting worse lol! I've been trying to resist movement. Might go for a jog then 🤣😂....thank you for the advice I really appreciate it. You're right though the feeling is truly horrendous and indescribable xxx
Don’t wear yourself out too much though being 27 weeks pregnant, it’s best to do a nice little walk before bed and then a bath and stretch, don’t push yourself too much!
No problems at all 😄 I know how it feels, makes you wanna bash your head against the wall.. everyone else is asleep and you feel like you could run a marathon 🤣 xxx
@gem_1618 exactly lol! I won't over do it lol. I couldn't even bloody jog if I wanted to 😂....going to have a little walk round the house, have a stretch and then get the Mr to rub my legs and try and sleep. Xxx
Breathing exercising helped me, getting a good suply of oxygen around the body, so like I'd walk around breathing in and out really deep, also stretch the back of the leg with each big step you take maybe putting your hands on your knee that's infront, it's really good way to get the blood to calculate around your legs and stretch them out, i did that every night before bed, it should work also try not to think about it the more you think about it the more your legs will feel like it just relax xx

@gem_1618 I haven't had it diagnosed but it's been suggested as a possibility. I just feel so frustrated and I've never experienced this before. Xx
