I kinda freaking out. I sing in choir at my church and I have a solo tomorrow. I am self-conscious and have no confidence in my singing. I've only had one other solo part. This one is harder because of the variation in notes. I'm worried I'm going to mess up and make a fool of myself. My stomach is in knots. I don't think I sing good which is making it harder for me. My choir director asked me to sing this solo. I'm just a nice person and said I'd give it a try. Everyone is choir says it sounds good including my husband (sound technician). I feel like they are telling me this because it's the Christian thing to do. 😕😟

Girl don’t worry! If you are praising God, it sounds good! I’ve heard a lot of various singing done in my church & I love all of them.. sing as if you’re singing to the Lord himself, you are:) btw, I’m excited to know which song!?

If they asked you to do it, then you must be great! But if you really don’t want to then just tell them. They will understand. Try to stay confident. God will guide your vocals

The scripture says to "make a joyful noise unto the Lord". Nowhere does it say one must sound good doing it. The Lord knows you heart. Sing to Him, praise Him, glorify Him and you will do great! It's not the sound of our voice but the sincerity in the heart and "noise" we have for Him. God bless you, today and always, in ALL ways...

Thank you ladies! You've helped me stay focused on why I am singing. I'll let y'all know how it goes. My husband is taking me to the church in a bit to practice. Maybe that will help me feel a little better. The song I'm singing is, "I Bowed on my Knees and Cried, Holy."

Today is the day that the Lord has made, rejoice and be glad in it, for it is the only one we have and tomorrow is not guaranteed. Count your many blessings, count them one by one, count your many blessings and see what God hath done... First thoughts this morning, after, "It's morning, already?!". Have a crazy, beautiful, Jesus filled, very blessed day ladies. My mind has now switched to "Coffee, need coffee!" And I have to get the little ready for church(breakfast, baths, etc) in only an hour. Can I do it? On my mark, get set, go! TTYL.

Well, ladies. I sang all the notes and didn't mess up in that regard, but that was nerve racking. My husband said I did well, but I'm my own worst critic. The congregation liked it and clapped during parts of it. I guess that's good. 😂 Someone suggested I sing another solo or by myself the entire song. I'm like, listen, don't push it. 🙃 Thank you for your thoughts and prayers.

Oh sweeet lady! You've put a smile on my heart his morning seeing your comment. I have the confidence to get in front of any crowd but not the gift of song. You have the gift of song but not the confidence. Funny how God made us so uniquely different. Pray on it! He gave you a gift. Use it for His glory and you will be BLESSED!
