Getting induced at 39 weeks. Now instead of my hospital being 10 mins away I’ve been transferred to one that is 45mins away. How does it feel to get induce? And how long is the process? I just hope my water can break naturally.
@abigaill, Exactly! Oh, I see. Thankfully my doctor was great, he supported me in having exactly what I wanted, it was just the one nurse who was being subtle 😑
@suz., I’m glad. A lot of doctors got for caesarean because they get paid more for them. And that just sucks can’t really rush your body, baby will come when it’s ready.
@abigaill, Yes, thank you! And yeah, my nurse tried to subtly hint to me to get a c-section by some of the comments she made, but I was so determined to NOT get one, and I am so glad I waited it out! Thank God. You will do great, just remember that you are the one that knows your body best and trust your instincts! You will get through it, even with the pain, and meeting your little one at the end of it is the BEST thing ever!!!!
@suz., omg that’s such a long time. And it’s crazy. But glad you got through it and didn’t end up giving you a caesarean.
My first (and only pregnancy so far) I was induced. I was dilating at such a SLOW rate, they had to put me on high levels of Pitocin. I have no other pregnancies to compare it to, but my contractions were very painful and came every few minutes.. My water broke naturally, but I think that’s when the contractions became more painful, and I got an epidural (even though I was trying my best to go all natural). In labor for 33+ hours. Basically it felt like I was dilating by one cm every six hours or more 😖 They gave me a 3 hour break off of Pitocin so I can eat and restart. Throughout the labor, I had to keep asking to re-up on my epidural. By the time I got to the 33rd hour, I was 8 cm. All the nurses tried everything, until the charge nurse came in and got me into the position for giving birth and told me to push like I was about to give birth. After about 6 pushes, I went straight from 8 to 10 cm, everyone got ready for baby to come, my obgyn got to my room and I pushed for like 20 min and our baby arrived!
No, but im going to try that too!😂
I know would be nice, 💗 now I just have to start getting to work cause the 17th around the corner lol. & you do have a lot of July bdays lol all the bdays for me are in December 🎄
@abigaill, have you tried fresh pineapple?? Aw that would be awesome and a great birthday gift for her! 💙 the 17th is the day I am trying to avoid lol it’s (grandmas bday as well from dads side though). If by chance I get induced and run into the 29th my baby will share a birthday with sister (: we have a lot of July birthdays in my family lol
@lopezjessica0491, that would have been cool. Keep doing what you’re doing and maybe she will. I’m going to start walking more and eating hot stuff lol 😂 maybe baby will come on the 17th which is my moms bday 🙏🏽😅
@abigaill, my son is a Friday the 13 baby, so I wanted my baby to be born yesterday lol I tried everything and she didn’t wanna come 😔 my bday is the 24th so I am wondering if we will share it💕
@lopezjessica0491, I hope so too. 🙏🏽😊 literally can’t wait 💙
@abigaill, that’s when I am being induced if baby don’t come lol.... hopefully our babies come on there own! (:
@lopezjessica0491, I’m going to start walking and doing all that lol
@abigaill, walk!! hills stairs everywhere.
With my second pregnancy I had a Drs appointment on a Thursday morning and dr told me I wasn’t dilated thinned out nothing and they would see me Monday morning to be induced. I went home and said hell no I wasn’t gonna be induced 😂 I was all day drank raspberry tea chamomile tea bounced on the ball played the connect... well I started having pains and started loosing my mucus plug so continued doing all that. Finally went into the hospital that night and was dilated to almost 7... I went from completely shut to 7 in hours cause I was to scared to be induced
I got induced at 39 weeks with my first baby labored 27 hours before having her waited 8 hours for my epidural and my water had to be broke by my dr after 7 hours
@lopezjessica0491, ugh I’m not ready for that. Baby has 2 weeks to make it happen on its own 😅
@abigaill, it does cause the contractions are just constant there is no break to breath like when you’re in labor on your own...
@lopezjessica0491, I heard getting induced hurts and I just hope my water breaks 🙏🏽😓
Prayers for a safe delivery!!! I got induced with my Now 3yo. Started at 7am and I had her at10:48pm. It hurts like hell (to me it did) my first two I had all natural but being induced was a whole other kind of pain for me! I got an epidural about 6cm (6o’clock) took a nap nurses woke me up and said it was time to push...
I got induced at 600am stood at 1until 315pm got epidural had her at 323 I had back labor it was painful worst pain ever but worth everything 8hrs total everyone is diff though
Please help!
My doctor is trying to induce me before 40 weeks because she's going to be off on my due date and says my placenta is starting to look old. How do I get labor started?? I don't want to be induced for no reason and I'm thinking I won't have a choice. Please help. What do I do to get things going?
