Help breast feeding moms! My 4 month old is sleeping through the night 9pm-6am pretty much every night like about 2 times a week she wakes uo at 430 or 5 but since shes sleeping so long throughout the nigbt i feel like its messing witg my supply and she wants to eat ALL DAY where i work i get to take her with me and be with her all day so i can nurse her all day but weve been so busy in the summer I literally nurse her standing up holding her with one arm while I'm still working. Should i wake up and pump in the middle of the night?
This is normal. They go through a pretty big growth spurt at 4 months. You can pump if you want/need relief but it is not necessary. Your supply will regulate to your baby’s needs. Have you tried baby wearing during the day so you have your arms free?
@erikak we dont really do like "scheduled nap time" its more like whenever shes tired she sleeps which about averages out to sleeping about 4 hours during the day in total
@ajowens1547 even when they are sleeping we still have to wake up lol i think i will just have to pump because the last few weeks have been so hard 😰
What does your nap schedule look like if baby sleeps through the night? Just curious.
I say yes! My daughter has been doing the same thing. Sleeping more and IS ATTACHED during the day! I pumped for today cause I knew id be out and it was so helpful!
I can't take it anymore! Haley (yes my 1mth old and no I wasn't able to go through this "joy" of nursing my older daughter, Molly) has been screaming non stop for 6hrs! All she wants to do is eat and I can't have her attached to me all day, everyday! She has wanted to eat every hr on the hr for the past 3hrs! I put her in her room so I don't scream at her but I just can't take it!
Waking to feed?
My dd is a week old and I was told by her doctor to wake her every 2 hours during the day and 3-4 hours at night to feed her. For the first 3 days I did that and when I would wake her fit a night feeding she was fussy and usually wouldn't go back to sleep and would want to nurse constantly until about 9 am. I tried not waking her last night and she slept beautifully! She woke up around 6 hours in and ate then slept another hour or so and ate again. Is it ok to let her sleep?
Mommies I need advice....
So last night was night 15 of me sleep training my daughter from sleeping with me to now sleeping in her new crib. It has been EXHAUSTING! When she slept with me she would sleep straight throughout the night. Now she wakes up at the least, 5 times throughout the night. She has waken up at most 8/9 times at night. There have been times where I’m patting her for an 1 hour-2hours straight to get her back to sleep when she has waken up at one of those times🥵. So I have fel...
So my baby is 8 weeks old and is thriving with weight gain each doctors visit. So here is my question: around 4-5 hours at night for sleep she wakes up every night and sucks on her thumb. (She finally this week likes it to soothe her during nap times) her eyes are still closed and she moves around and sucks it. I wake her to feed her. My question is should I just let it go? And see if she is just soothing herself to sleep? I don't want her to stave by morning if she sleep a couple of more hours...
