I don’t know what to do... my son is 9 months and he is lazy but aggressive... he wants to move around and he can turn around but he refuses to crawl and uses me to pull up to stand up... he doesn’t want to be bothered but wants the help ... he’s so peculiar...he can put himself to sleep but if I’m not in the room he’ll throw a fit until I pat him to sleep.. depending on how he feels... I’m loosing my mind because I don’t know how to deal with him

@glencoco, don’t do that,it wasn’t necessary she is clearly looking for help. Hence this post . She admits she doesn’t know what to do.

As a first time mom, I too understand that it can be rough figuring out what to do. Don't let others make you feel bad for learning. And yes babies can be lazy. Mine crawled late too. He will get there! Don't worry momma!

Some babies skip crawling. He's not lazy or aggressive. You're just any overwhelmed mom && that's ok. I had to sleep train my daughter at 9 months bc she was still waking up every 2-3 hours 😫😫

She didn't walk till she was 14 1/2 months, she was standing at 9 months but don't really valence on her own til 12 months. It's all different.

Just be patient && although I've had my fair share of run ins on this app, some of them are not judgemental && are willing to listen 😊😊

Who says you have to offer a remedy?

Where was the remedy for her to fix her parenting?

@laniejay, I do not disagree with you at all. But was that a wake up call or tough love?

@empress9106, sometimes support is a wake up call- not rainbows and unicorns. Tough love is as important as a soft voice.

@laniejay, I respectfully disagree. It was very saddening to read the original post and I responded to the poster. But I personally don’t think that because this mother was in the wrong and needing strategies to support her child that it is truthful that it should be wished upon her no more babies .

@empress9106, that doesn’t make @glencoco’s opinion less truthful.

@glencoco, what does that even mean? Everything I said was truthful and was not insulting. You said you had an opinion that does not negate the fact that it was insulting .

@laniejay, absolutely that would be correct lol.

@glencoco, it absolutely was an insult, regardless of whether it’s your opinion or not , please see the definition of insult. What you just referenced as an “insult” is absolutely what was implied in your comment.

You wanted to be mean and insult her because of what she wrote. Own it, please don’t give me any more excuses as to why you wrote it.

@empress9106, that wasn’t an insult. That was my opinion. If I wanted to insult her I would’ve called her a shitty parent.

A baby being 9 months old isn't being lazy. That's how they are. It's normal for the baby to act like that, it's what they do. Babies grow and learn to crawl or walk at different speeds. Some can be crawling by 5 months while others may take over a year to get the hang of it. The baby sounds active and probably is just bored. Play with the baby, do belly time and put him on his hands and knees and help guide his legs so he can get the hang of it. Put toys that light up in front of him so he can come to them. Help hold the babies hands while he takes steps to help him learn to walk. Some babies walk before they crawl. He will get there don't stress. Before you know it he will be up and walking/running and getting into things lol

@glencoco, of course she shouldn’t call the child lazy and aggressive. No argument there. However, there was no need to INSULT her like that . I had a visceral reaction reading your comment. Hence my comment to you. There’s a way to say everything.

@empress9106, not getting mad at a baby should be common sense. Calling a 9 month old lazy and aggressive was out of line too. 🤷🏻‍♀️

And yes this app may be used for some women to teach them things.

@glencoco, there are parenting classes because a mom may need it. Not every mother is equipped with the same skills. Recommend that she goes to a parenting class then. Your comment was out of line.

@empress9106, if she’s getting mad at him for pulling himself up and not crawling she needs a parenting class, not an app. Basic parenting isn’t something an app should be teaching.

Relax momma. He is too young to be labeled lazy or aggressive. He’s still learning and it seems like he’s getting frustrated. As stated above . Play with him . Sing with him. Keep him stimulated. He’s still a baby. He needs you.

You don’t know how to deal with a baby? God I hope you don’t have any more.

At 9 months old, it seems rather presumptuous to label your child as lazy or aggressive. He's learning how to function as a human. Cut the poor kid some slack. He's not trying to intentionally get on your nerves or be malicious toward you.

You 'deal' with him by giving him love, support, and help him learn about the world around him. This all seems like very normal baby behavior.

Yesterday I went out with my boyfriend went to watch a movie, me and him don't live together yet. but point is yesterday when he was dropping me off his like sleep over at my house witch the mom and dad lives. I said no, his response was why is everyone deciding or making choices for you and their going to do the same with the baby, when I know that's not true. what he thinks is that my mom tells me not to sleep over. So he left all mad. and I felt in my heart that he went on and cheated on me and did something else with an other girl.... and it's 10:51 am now and he hasn't texted me at all. and after he dropped me off I texted him saying what I felt and nothing. I don't know if I'm over reacting or what or what should i do. do i wait until he text me?

so my bd is in jail for violating his probation and I just had the craziest thought to maybe go visit him bc I haven’t seen him in a while and I don’t think he knows that I know that he’s in there and also he doesn’t even have a court date set so i’m not sure exactly how long he’s gonna be locked up. another thing is that throughout my pregnancy he hasn’t really been around or asked to help or been to any appts. am I crazy for considering going to visit him? I doubt I will but I also don’t want him to feel alone in there bc of course I do still care about him. idk I just wanna make sure he’s doing okay, you know?
