Needing mom opinions. Last night my little guy feel off a chair I try to catch him but I was to late. After it happens his whole body want limp and cry for 5 minutes straight then feel sleep . I was told all my life u shouldn’t fall sleep after a hard fall so I rain him to the er and they told me he was fine and it ok for that to happen. If this would to happen again or even happen to ur kids would you run them to the er??

Wow. The doctor never even checked?? That's crazy. I'm glad the nurse was nice...

She must have kids and know the worry. Yeah, my son didn't act any differently, but let me tell you, I was a wreck anyway. I stayed up all night watching him, haha. (He fell right before bedtime so he was kept up late that night.)

We took him to the ER once, just for peace of mind. We had gotten rearended, barely a fender bender, but he was only 7weeks and clearly couldn't tell us if something was wrong. Plus babies that young sleep all the time still anyway. And we were on vacation.

@nomli, I agree with you but after it happen he state cry and he couldn’t keep his eye open so I want to the er and the nurse rush us back to a room and the dr came in look at him for about 2 minutes and said he was finally so I felt like the dr didn’t really care that much. The nurse came back in with the the paper work and told us If make us feel better to stay and wait till he stater act him self we could. So we did just to make sure and I really didn’t know what to do at this point and it took him about 3 hours to get back to him self and the dr never check on us but the nurse was super kind tho.

He fell and hit his head at 8m. He had a nice bruise and lump, but we didn't take him to the ER. We watched him, kept him awake. He wasn't confused, he didn't fall unconscious, he wasn't vomiting or anything, his eyes were normal, he kept playing like normal.

It depends. I'm not one to go to the ER unless it's serious, and I know what's normal or not for him. There's nothing wrong with going to the hospital for that reassurance, but we usually call his doctor if we're worried and they tell us what signs to watch out for. Obviously if he was unconscious or vomiting, eyes rolling, we'd go to the ER. But if he's acting fine we usually wait and see.
