I have never posted on here but in need of some good advice! I'm 32 weeks pregnant with my second baby boy, and having a hard time making a decision about circumsizing. My first son is 4, and I did have him circumcised with no problems. I was only 16 when I had him, so I made the decision based off of what everyone around me told me to do. I was even told once by my mom that if I didn't circumsize my dad would probably disown me because of how nasty and dirty it would be. 😐 Now that I'm a bit older, I've done a lot of research, and I am leaning more towards not wanting to do it to this baby. I hate that I can be so influenced by the people around me, but I've heard that it's weird that I would have my first son done, but not my second. I've heard that I'll be in and out of the doctor because of all the infections it will cause by not doing it, so on and so forth. So I am here looking for genuine advice on both sides of the spectrum. To add, my fiance is the father of both babies and is supportive of whatever I choose to have done or not done. It is true, not getting it done increases the chance of infections later on in life and can even cause him to have to get it done when he is older which will be more painful and traumatic. As a newborn, they barely even feel it and aren't even phased by it. My son slept through his procedure and it's super quick.

It’s not common practise in the UK to get circumcised. I haven’t had my son done and don’t actually know anyone who has been done or got their son down. I’ve also never heard of anyone I know having trouble because of it. Ultimately it’s up to you, do what you think is best. You’ll always get opposing views on this but only you can really decide.

My son is not and he is 4years old with no problems at all and never had anyproblems about them getting infections and stuff not true cause the skin actually protects them from not getting infections.. my cousin is circumsize and always gets infections and always his parents have to be in the ER for that so idk.!! But i do know that the skin protects it from getting infections later on in life also.

Op most men aren't circumcised in the world. Both my sons aren't circumcised and have never had an issue. My husband is the same and hasn't had an issue ever. It's all about hygiene. Teach them to clean it properly and they will have no issues.

@gabby.pineda still can be an issue if they don't have good hygiene, you can keep up with it while they are young but at the same time it's much more of a hassle and then when they are old enough to clean themselves they need to keep up with it themselves and if they don't that's when you have issues and when they become sexually active, it's a lot easier to keep clean and avoid infections from that as well.

@ladyblauvelt.skysmomma how is it a hassle??? All they have to do is wash it with water while they shower as they get older.Just like for us women we wash with water down there. That's just plain lazy if people think its a hassle.

I think because your first son & the father of your children is circumsized you should have him circumsized too because when he gets older he may think theres something wrong with him because he looks different from his brother and father. I left the decision up to my husband, only becuase i dont have a penis & he does. We did have him circumsized.

@gabby.pineda that's what some other women have said too and idk about you but every boyfriend I've ever had has been circumcised... So I think there's a lot more who are than you think

All 3 of my boys aren't circumcised. There dad isn't either none of them have had any problems with it.

@ladyblauvelt.skysmomma Let those women say that. For sure though I don't think its a hassle. Takes 10 seconds to clean. If 10 seconds is too much for a guy to clean his own penis then man he must have a hard life.
Op who cares if your husband and son are circumcised. It's not like as adults they'll be in a room comparing their penises. My oldest nephew is circumcised and his 2 younger brother's aren't, they aren't comparing their penises to each other and seriously they don't even know. Unless you tell your son as an adult I bet he won't even notice his dad is circumcised or his brother is.
