Hey Mommas,
My daughter just turned one recently! & she will not eat! I really feel bad, like I’m failing her somehow! I’m tried literally everything! I read online that one year olds should be about 22 pounds, & my daughter is only 16.5.. I need help!! Have any of you mommas gone through this with your LO? How long does it last? & will she eventually start eating more?
My 16month old eats everything in sight and still only weighed 16lbs at the 15 or 16month checkup. I wouldn't worry yet..all my babies were like that and they're healthy now just petite and athletic.
Thank you so much ladies!!! I will definitely be taking all the advice I can get! & I have mentioned the pediasure to her pediatrician, & she gave me the okay to start her on it.
My son has been underweight since he was 3 months old and has never been a huge eater. But when I go to WIC they always tell me that his levels are great, that he may not eat a lot but he gets what he needs. You could try a little bit of Pediasure if your really worried about her weight. Maybe run it by the pediatrician first just to make sure but mine said it was fine, and has even suggested it for my son. Just try not to worry so much, all kids are different 😊
She will eventually eat more trust me right now all kids want to do at that age is play sleep that they forget to eat. If you want don’t make her big meals. What I do to my 2 year old is cut him a bit of an apple banana cookies and sneak food in the plate and just leave it there next to him he realizes that he needs to eat so he starts munching on the things I gave him and then he asks for more so just give her things like a little snack and once she’s done just keep putting things in front of her she will eventually eat it
I have a 14 month old and she kills food ,but she's just small . And she is breasted still ,and hates cow milk until I made chocolate milk for her . She likes it . The doctor only told me to feed her more often and fattier foods .but we're not worried because she's so strong and active.
