I love my boyfriend so much but he just doesn’t get it. We can plan to go to the gym but he decides to make 5 pitstops on the way making an hour trip into 3 hours. It’s unfair to our daughter that we’re never home at her feeding or napping times because he always has 5 other things to do. She’s barely eaten anything today

I dealt with this in the beginning when I had my daughter. It was extremely frustrating and I felt like I was really failing as a mom just always having to feed her on the run or the worst, being out and running out of formula for her. I talked to my husband about it because it was really getting to me. For him, it stemmed from just being new to being a dad and not realizing that he needed to put her needs before his own. For us that talk really helped fix things and get his priorities straight.
