How do you like not get fired being sick and nauseated all the time during pregnancy? I couldn’t go to work for two out of my three shifts this week and I’m at work now and I threw up again and I’m still miserable 😭 HOW
@1818.whiterabbit, thankfully my supervisor knew about my ttc journey and knows how much this means to me, and is super supportive and a good human being. Lol I have a desk job so if I fall asleep he will wake me up. He knows that I’m doing the best I can. I can’t miss anymore work either or I get knocked out of being able to go to first shift, which would basically end in me having to find a new job. Hopefully at your appt they will be able to give you something else that might help!
@lauren_leigh, I am right there with you. I will literally fall asleep and they’ll fire me. I’ve already got an issue with fatigue because I have an under active thyroid and low iron, so I can’t add phenergan on top of it. I’ve already tried.
I take phenergan, and just make myself stay awake through the fatigue. It knocks me out too but I’d rather be sleepy than throwing my guts up. Lol I’ve lost 18 lbs in 6 weeks from being sick and not being able to eat. I’m definitely ready to hit the second trimester and be able to take zofran IF I’m still sick.
@thegermanmommy, I’ve literally tried all of the above (Sprite in place of the ginger ale.) I literally cannot hold anything down. I’ve stopped gaining weight. I’ve given up on eating a healthy diet. I’m more concerned with what I’m going to do about work until I can have non drowsy nausea medicine. I feel like I can’t eat at all then when I don’t eat I vomit acid so I lose either way. I just feel awful
Peppermint, ginger ale and gaterade were my best friend my 1st trimester with both of my pregnancies. I would also try to eat small meals or just have snacks to help. I had a bag of peppermints with me at all times and I also used doterra peppermint essential oils.
@dammmonique, I have something, but it knocks me out and they said they couldn’t give me anything else because I can’t take anything that doesn’t make me sleepy until I’m out of my first trimester.
You can ask your doctor for medicine to control your vomiting and nausea. I had the same problem and I told them if i didn’t get something I was going to lose my job.
