My son had diarrhea earlier today and his poor butt is raw. He is hysterical, and I know it hurts. I tried coconut oil and ended up putting him in a warm bath where he’s playing right now. Someone suggested gold bond ointment... does that actually work?

Vitamin A & D ointment! Creates a protective barrier on the skin.

Breast milk or breast milk bath really helps my daughter when she has a rash and then complete air dry after

I swear by either coconut oil or aquaphor works wonders. Put it on real thick esp before bed

Air him out if possible and aquaphor is a miracle!!!! They makes baby diaper cream!! Also try using the next size up in diapers if the diaper cream doesn’t help because it should make a difference after one use.

Yes I love how many people also love aquafor! It’s the best butt paste! Coconut oil probably soothes it some and airing it out will help too. I would be careful with some ointment’s because I think some actually lock in moisture so it would make the rash worse.
