Had my ob apoitment today . 1cm dilated , 50% effaced . Wasnt dilated last week. Hopefully this process speeds up .

I had a membrane sweep with both my boys (twice each) and went into labor 4 hours after having the second done. For me it works and both deliveries were good. All depends on the person and their body. We are all different :) Had my first one done with this little boo yesterday. Had some bloody show and some cramping and contractions last night that fizzled out. Hoping it will happen soon or at least after the next sweep :) good luck to you @jocelynhosford17, Hope your babe comes soon for you :)

Whatever you do, don’t get a membrane sweep unless absolutely necessary lol it makes labour way more intense. I rarely have regrets but this is one of mine
My doctor said he would induce my labor at 38 weeks, if my baby girl still had growth issues and if the percentile dropped to 10 or less. Last thursday, it was 10 percentile, and he said if she didn't come on her own by 38 weeks, he would induce labor at that time. I'm 36 weeks 1 day today, he said my cervix was super thin, and 1cm dilated. Is there a possibility this can change... that my doctor will let her just come on her own? I don't want to be induced, i would much rather her come on her ...

Saturday at 1AM, lost my mucus plug/bloody show, and I was freaking out! A couple of hours later I had cramping, but felt like BH just a little stronger. They came and went, but felt stronger with each hour. Didn't sleep that whole night! I called the midwife at my hospital and told her I lost it and was having really bad cramping and she told me I was fine and was prob just having BH contractions.
The next day I was having what I thought were strong BH contractions every 10-...
Got to the hospital at 4 am to start my pitocin, well.. I was put on the drip at 430 am , and was 4cm dilated and 80 percent effaced, an hour later. The nurse came in to check me, hours later, and I was at 6 cm. I got the epidural at 6cm.. But it didn't work for me, no more than 20 minutes later, I couldn't take the pain, I was screaming and crying.. And felt everything.. most terrible pain ever, I called for my nurse to come in and she checked me again, said I was ready to deliver, babys head ...
Losing the baby
My sil is about 4 months along in her pregnancy and she starting bleeding really heavily so my dh took her to the hospital. He said she's dilating but hasn't texted back yet.

I had a membrane sweep today. Before the sweep I was 3-4 dilated & 75% effaced.
@jocelynhosford17, mine was done at 38 weeks and again at 39 weeks. I went into labour that same day and had a quick birth too which was great but normally it intensifies the pain for lot of women. I would just let your body progress naturally - take the epidural if you feel you need it though. I got it - best thing ever haha and it didn’t hurt to get
