What are your thoughts on baby showers? My friend wants to throw me one but I’m not sure. I didn’t have one with my son and I think they’re a bit awkward.

Yesterday I went out with my boyfriend went to watch a movie, me and him don't live together yet. but point is yesterday when he was dropping me off his like sleep over at my house witch the mom and dad lives. I said no, his response was why is everyone deciding or making choices for you and their going to do the same with the baby, when I know that's not true. what he thinks is that my mom tells me not to sleep over. So he left all mad. and I felt in my heart that he went on and cheated on me and did something else with an other girl.... and it's 10:51 am now and he hasn't texted me at all. and after he dropped me off I texted him saying what I felt and nothing. I don't know if I'm over reacting or what or what should i do. do i wait until he text me?

I really thought I was getting a baby shower and like no one has even thought about giving me one. This is my first baby i mean no one has to do anything for me I just at least thought they had plans for me and they don’t. They gave my uncle one because his wife didn’t want one because she already had a kid.And everyone got a baby shower and was giving one .But I guess it’s okay. I’ll do my own baby shower with my next child I just thought family planned a baby shower for you . Lol guess I thought wrong.

I haven't had one even though I've had people offer to organise one for me. They're not my cup of tea. But I do plan on having a quiet family & friends get together when she's arrived in replace of one. Never been a party song & dance person, prefer the more casual stuff x

I agree with Jodie, it depends if you want one. If you genuinely don’t want one, tell your friends as it is for you at the end of the day. I had one last week and it was great having everyone together and made me realise how loved me and baby are. Don’t worry what anyone thinks, it’s a fad from America anyways! Xxx

I guess it depends what sort of person you are if you don't mind the attention it would be fun but for me I also thought it would be awkward so I didn't have one and just invited them to see baby when he arrived instead totally up to you 😊 x

I feel the same . Not really bothered about one tbh but everyone is judging me about it lol . I’d prefer to wet the babies head after the hard work 😂😉 xx

I had one. I actually organised my own, Was really fun. Nothing crazy just family and a few friends and we all had a great laugh.. Everyone had a drink and were playing games.. I received some lovely gifts as well xx
