Sometimes you know your body better than everyone else. Not every woman will produce high levels of hcg throughout pregnancy some it can take weeks some it can take months don’t trust a blood test don’t trust a urine test trust your heart and when you know it’s times it’s time this doctor was not a gynecologist so he did not give me a quantitative blood test to actually see what my hcg level is at I hope this helps some of you ladies who just feel like giving up and stop testing because of what everyone else thinks or what a doctor tells you trust your body you know your body better than a blood test and a pee test and god will lead you to the right path
Scarlett As a mother you know when your child is poorly, and it's more than just god damn viral infection. But no f*** ing doctor would listen.
seems like I've seen a lot of women have gotten or are getting induced solely because they are uncomfortable?? Like around 38 weeks...I didn't know doctors would even do that without a medical reason? I know everyone handles pregnancy differently and for some it can be pure hell...but here I am overdue and I still don't want to be induced even with how insanely uncomfortable I am. I personally feel like that's kind of selfish...of course if there is a real reason then absolutely do it for the health of you and your baby but if it's just discomfort come on..wait another couple weeks until your baby is ready on his or her own.

I measured 6 weeks ahead with my last baby. Induction was never mentioned as I was having a homebirth.

Likely the ones that are getting induced are high risk for some reason or another. I'll be induced due to diabetes

You could have a larger baby, morr fluid, or just the way baby is laying which causes you to measure bigger. Most of the ones being Inducded are for medical reasons. I was Inducded ar 37+6 leaking fluid and my blood pressure was way to high
Aleah ·
@squishymommy1, do you know why you measured that far ahead? Was your due date wrong or was it the baby’s growth?
squishymommy1·
@amw322, I had polyhydramnious

Ok. So the first part I am unsure about. And yes you can get induced at 37 or 38 weeks. The did it with my daughter and might do it with this little people

Induction has kinda been talked about with me because Of how little I am and the way my baby is measuring. If I am wanting to go naturally then induction may have to be the way to go if he continues to grow the way he is. So it all just depends. Some babies grow at a different rate than others.

I'm type 1 diabetic and generally tend to have bigger babies. My little girl is measuring 4 weeks ahead. *YIKES* and they might inside me at 38 because I've been rather resistant this pregnancy. I'm scared of passing out a 12 pounder. My youngest was delivered at 37+1 and she was 10.1 and I broke her clavicle. So I'm nervous myself this time around.

@dlboer86, oh my goodness. That’s understandable I didn’t know any of that could happen

Another thing that scares me though, is that with my youngest they were a pound off at the ultrasound. Said she was 9lbs and when I went in the next day to have her she was 10.1. so that also scares the crap outta me. Lol
Aleah ·
@dlboer86, yeah that’s definitely not the same lol good luck to you!!
