So my husband thinks I should get out more and make more plans and such. I find it really hard just getting up and leaving the house with a baby, especially since I’m the primary caregiver. My husband can wake up, have breakfast, shower, and then leave for basketball or golf or General things he wants to do / take care of. He thinks I should be able to do the same.
Is this possible? If so, Anyone have suggestions ? I feel like I’m missing something here lol
@paperplane, lolol loved this ! “Help”. Yep I’ll be doing this soon!!! Very soon 😂
@carusod91, I'd make him take baby with him just one trip so he can see it's not as easy as just saying it. Make him think "oh food! Clothes! Diapers! Why won't you just let me play basket ball" lol turn the table on him a little hehehe then chill out side with a cold drink and wait for him He will be back in I bet 1 hour max. "help" haha
@carusod91, oh oops I read comments after commenting. bad mom app Etiquette on my part sorry lol.
When my son was a baby and I sometimes had a hard time sneaking in time to shower I just showers with him. Now I had wash my hair one handed but I was at least half clean when I was done lol. I put shorts on him to make its easier to hold him and not slippery.
Can you give something like that a try?
I didn't make much for plans I just liked walks. I found it was good enough for us at the time.
@spookylyn, he sure does. A lot of time actually. I can easily manage getting ready and such but his life resumed the same as if he had no baby lol. And when I told him that, he thought I was complaining and should just go out. Problem is, I don’t get the freedom to just leave like the way he does 🙄 and he has a hard time seeing that
@starting_over39, I already do that :). I’m talking actual plans that hubby thinks I should be doing - not just groceries and a walk to the park lol
Well pump and have back up supply.. Getting ready isn't that hard if you do it really early morning and while baby is playing on mat do makeup.. Squeeze time in..
@starting_over39, those are great plans. It takes a little time to get out of the house due to pumping and nap schedule and of course getting ready with no help but I’ve definitely enjoyed those things. I just feel so lonely sometimes. Husband always tells me to take baby with him when I leave the house. Next time I’m just gonna leave him there haha
I go out daily two three times a day. I shower with my daughter. Or when she naps.. Or you can shower nightly or early morning before you little one wakes up. Or bring baby in bathroom so you can see him etc. I go for groceries, park, mall, waterslide restaurants you name it. Sometimes I wanna be alone so I leave baby home and go get me my Mani Pedi or for a drink. Make plans with your friends or family and leave baby with dad and get some r&r.
I even want family time. But his free time ends up being something else. I expressed that to him and he told me I’m complaining 🙄. He’s all like “how do single moms do it”. Omg lol. Don’t get me wrong, great guy, but after having a baby,
I’d like to give him a piece of my mind 😂
See, I shower, workout, eat, put on makeup everyday no problem. Even going out to the store or for walks are not a problem. But I’m ALWAYS with baby. I love my son but I don’t get how my husband can be gone for 10+ hours and then make plans the next day. Or he’s even super busy at home and isn’t really “home” if that makes sense. So he suggested I try activities. But what activities ?! I can’t just leave my child and go hiking or swimming for 6 hours lol. Men, they still have freedom after a baby hahaha
@beakymcspence, I once told him I’d go to the grocery store and he told
Me to take baby to get him some
Fresh air 🙄
Yes it’s possible. Most moms don’t kick it around the house all the time. There’s so much more than that in every single town in the world
You will go out more when you're comfortable. As for showering and getting things done....lol. much harder. Just do your best everyday. Definitely helps to have a loose schedule.
I go out a few times a day every day with my baby who is 1mnth old and my toddler. Once to take my son to day school at 8 am then to take my SO to work at 11am then to pick son up at 230, pick up SO at 730pm then home for the day. I do things in between like go visit family goto the store ect. With my first baby I was home alot but it wasn't good for me. I gotta take a shower and do my make up daily look cute and get out or I get sad. But different people.
Well you should be able to do things without baby just like he does. My husband would go golfing and the following weekend he’d stay with the kids and I’d go out with my gal friends.
Make your own breakfast!
At what age do you think a child should be making their own breakfast? I have a 10 year old and I think he is perfectly capable of making himself breakfast. It doesn't take rocket science to put some waffles into the toaster, or microwave some pancakes. My husband insists that he needs to have breakfast made for him because if we left it up to him he wouldn't eat enough and it would take him forever.
Yesterday I went out with my boyfriend went to watch a movie, me and him don't live together yet. but point is yesterday when he was dropping me off his like sleep over at my house witch the mom and dad lives. I said no,
his response was why is everyone deciding or making choices for you and their going to do the same with the baby, when I know that's not true. what he thinks is that my mom tells me not to sleep over. So he left all mad. and I felt in my heart that he went on and cheated on me...
I know this sounds sooo fkedup but sometimes i wanna get into a bad accident so my husband sees exactly all the things i do ... and how wrong he is by saying i don’t do enough ( not in those words but the jist of it ) anyway .... i think this all the time . Maybe then he will think differently .
My baby was on enfamil gentlease but he was throwing up with it so they switched him to enfamil nutramigen and hes throwing up a ton more with it like alot hes been on it since 9/20 what should i do?
Ok, so my friend is wanting to get pregnant but..... Her fiancé does not want kids, at lease for another 3-5 years he said... so she came up with the idea to have me pee on a stick for her and show it to him so that he’ll be comfortable with not wearing a condom and finishing in her.. basically the whole idea is to make him think she’s pregnant already...... so I do this favor for her or should I tell my girl to chill?
He and my husband are friends through us and he’s going to invite him over...
@carusod91, let me know how he dose :) that's my evil grin
