My SIL noticed my feet swollen at 7pm yesterday. The whole day I drank 8+ water bottles, had 2 hot dogs when I got there then had a plate of food later. Got home around 10pm, feet still swollen, took a shower and then laid down and elevated them. Woke up this morning with puffy feet still. Should I call my ob or is it a normal thing? And yes, I know, if I have real concern call them but I want feedback 1st.
It’s pretty normal during pregnancy, but I would still bring it up to your doctor to rule out other issues.
In the meantime, increase your water intake (46-64 oz of water a day), reduce your sodium intake, and increase your potassium intake. Potassium helps decrease swelling. You could also try soaking your feet in an ice water bath or applying a cold compress to both feet.
I hope you feel better.
I would call them. I was always told that if resting and elevating then while drinking enough water didn’t get the swelling down, to call.
They’ll probably want you to go in for a BP check and a urine check.
Yesterday I went out with my boyfriend went to watch a movie, me and him don't live together yet. but point is yesterday when he was dropping me off his like sleep over at my house witch the mom and dad lives. I said no,
his response was why is everyone deciding or making choices for you and their going to do the same with the baby, when I know that's not true. what he thinks is that my mom tells me not to sleep over. So he left all mad. and I felt in my heart that he went on and cheated on me...
Short Luteal Phase?
I've just started temping because I believe that the reason I haven't had a BFP yet, after 20 months, is because I believe I may have a Luteal Phase Defect.
Transgender children
So I just learned that in my kids school district (my kids aren't in school yet my oldest will be starting kindergarten next September) there are twin boys who identify as girls. They are 5 years old. What's your opinions on this matter given they are 5!!! I don't believe that at that age they really understand the whole thing. So the entire school had to take a course on how to handle transgender children. For example they can't say girls go this or boys do that. What are...
Science!
My friend posted this on facebook last night and said her kids were asleep within minutes. It's a song that scientists created to help people fall asleep. I was skeptical but I thought what the hay, I'll try it out. I didn't bank on Dh falling asleep, but both him and lo were asleep by minute 2. And lo slept six straight hours. ?
Starting TWW. Anyone else?
I had a stillborn daughter at 38 weeks this passed Nov. This is my second month ttc. (Last month we only tried for like two weeks though). My last and only pregnancy, I got pregnant the first month of ttc so I hope it's quick this time again.
Were you outside for a long time ? Being in the heat for a long time can cause the swelling as well.... also I know swelling is normal later in pregnancy . My SILs feet looked double the size towards the end of her pregnancy and all was well. As long as your BP is good and no protein in urine and it’s not just one foot they are not usually worried . I hope they go down because I’m sure it’s uncomfortable .
