It was my first time today and was slightly scary. Mixing the lye water was the scariest part.

@lounas.franklin, I have no clue how or what you need to make it. Why is it scary?

Lye is corrosive and when mixed with water gives off toxic fumes. It gets extremely hot too. So I was afraid something would happen.

@lounas.franklin, sounds scary. Is this just once form of making soap?

Yes, this is just cold process.

Melt and pour soap does not have lye and is kid friendly.

There is also hot process but I don't know how to do that.

It's unscented. I want to get the soap making process down before I start spending money on fragrance oils.
