There's not a ton of info out there but it is out there. I also have a friend who suffers with PCOS also who dried up exactly the same time I did with both her kids. But, I also know many successfully breastfeeding Mamas. Good luck! And don't give up! I still tried 2 weeks beyond the point where I completely went dry. Happy Mama, happy baby!
For some it presents no issue. For others you have issues with an oversupply and others an under supply. My cysts are frequent and painful and I have to meet with my endocrinologist regularly. It's because during puberty, the extra antigens actually affect the way your breast tissue develops.
I dried up at 6w due to my PCOS but the biggest thing I learned was HAVE SUPPORT you get so much less sleep purely because your best pumping hours are also the hours you are usually in REM sleep 1am-5am Your partner or family members can't feed the baby for you so make sure to ask and for them to expect to take the baby between 2 feedings so you can get some sleep
