Hi, I’m now a mother of three. My baby was born 6/27/2018 via emergency c-section which was a whole new experience for me because my first two were vaginal. I will say my recovery has been taking a toll on my emotions, due to the fact that I feel like I’m restrained from doing activities with my other two children. If you have had a c-section I would love to know about your experience.

Give it a few weeks and you should feel almost normal again. It will take awhile until the scar isn't sensitive and may have little pulling pains here and there for awhile. If you need the pain meds take them, no shame in it. And do not let gas get trapped like you were saying, just let it out lol also remember to take your stool softeners, worst pain not being able to go after a csection. I had a csection, a vbac, then another csection.

The first week I took all my meds around the clock and I think it helped that I moved a lot. But I wasn’t able to sleep in my bed til this past weekend Bc it hurt so bad and it still hurts sometimes but it’s a lot better

I have had 2 emergency c section and I know how you feel. Rest as much as you can for the first 6 weeks. Try not to over do it or your recovery time will need to be extended. I had a lot of trapped gas also. The tv saved me so much! My kiddos were in front of the tv while I was lounging on the couch with my little one. Also colouring in books and activities. I felt like a terrible mother for abusing the tv but I had no help from anyone so it was the only thing I could do plus the kids weren’t complaining hehe.

@taymw11, I’m 1week pp and I will say I feel better each day but I can’t wait to see the finish line at 6 weeks... yesterday was a tough day it’s like I got every symptom possible, my legs were swollen, my chest felt heavy and my back was hurting. I did call my doc and she said everything was normal symptoms but they were driving me nuts. Thank god I woke up this morning feeling way better I think I just had trapped gas trying to get out

I had a scheduled csection. The first few days were a little tough doing things on my own but it’s week three now and I feel almost normal except I get some back pains sometimes. I hope you recover quickly and things get easier.
