My daughter has always been big for her age. She hit max height and weight for our car seats right around 2 yrs old.
@haybay, I’ve tried so hard to chunk my boy up but he’s petite like mama. 😒 hope you’re able to find some answers for your seat!!
@haybay, it should explain it in the manual but yes I would try to rear face for as long as possible.
yes I did and I’ll have to look it up because it didn’t say. My daughter is a chunky one and tall so she needed a new one
@haybay, I’m assuming you got a convertible seat in which case it should show in the manual how to rear face it. If not, look up the model on YouTube. There are usually at least a few videos. My sons convertible seat just got here today. He’s just reaching the height limit on his infant seat at 15 months. Haha.
@amouryaya09, Okay thank you so much. I thought so but my mother in law doesn’t think I can, and definitely keeping her rear face until at least 2
You can rear face the convertible car seats!
@mswedes, okay that’s what I was thinking just needed more advice. I’m a ftm and I had to get her a bigger car seat because she outgrew her infant one she’s 8 months and I was wondering if I could still rear face those ones?
It’s recommended you keep your child rear facing for at least two years. I plan on trying to keep my son rear facing as long as possible even after he hits two years.
It’s law 2 years but recommend 4
