You went to a regular doctor. They’re not good enough. If you want your son to sleep and for you to get a break, then switch his formula otherwise it doesn’t make sense to keep getting angry. And doctors don’t give a crap about our babies as

Much as we do. We’re with our babies all the time, not them, so they won’t know as much. The fact your doc didn’t even try means it’s time to move onto someone else. Switch to a gentle formula without the protein.

@avianlouiebos I know I had to switch formula with my youngest. Hea breast fed but gets a bottle about 1-2 times a week when I go out. The similac and enfamil I was giving him caused him rumbling and gas in his stomach at night. I switched to hipp organic (needs to be purchased online) and it's so much better.

@crharmer i dont think he has silent reflux or colic but yes I did talk about him being gassy and unsettled at night, asked about formula. doctor was not concerned about it says its normal cause their stomach and intestines are still growing. We talked about it but hes not extra fussy after feedings or super spitty uppy, doesnt writhe in pain or show any other symptoms of having issues with milk

@avianlouiebos always an excuse with you. It doesn't mean hes not lactose intolerant, it could just mean he doesn't have the sensitivity to the degree that my son did. If you want things to change, you need to take the first step here.

@avianlouiebos plus I'm not too sure what you said to your doctor, but I recall you just said that he wasn't sleeping. Did you bring up the fact that you thought he had silent reflux, colic, or maybe an intolerance of some sort? You need to stop making excuses, stop complaining and bring him to a paediatrician who deals specifically with babies and young kids.

@avianlouiebos yes you would. My first son was formula fed. He was constantly gassy and spitting up almost whole bottles and wanting to eat right after that. It took me 4 months to figure out he was lactose intolerant and needed to be on the lactose free formula. He was still growing and thriving.

My second and third have lactose sensitivity and I've had to alter my diet because the dairy bothered them in the breast milk.

@carusod91 you wouldn't gain weight from things your sensitive or allergic to though

@avianlouiebos, that doesn’t matter. It just means he’s getting his food. Adults gain weight from donuts and ice cream - doesn’t mean our stomachs will like it. Switch his formula to ones for sensitive stomachs

@avianlouiebos weight gain does not always indicate there is an issue. His formula could be causing him to have excess gas, or have an allergy/sensitivity. Its worth switching. I know before I was diagnosed with lactose intolerance I was in constant pain, and I didnt sleep well due to it.

@avianlouiebos I know you said you don't want help, but don't you want to figure out why he always cries? P.s. you are not a bad mom, very overwhelmed, I would say.

Has he been looked at for silent reflux? Or other tummy issues possibly. Just remain as calm as possible so he doesn’t feed off you. I really hope you can get both of you the help you need.
