I am super pissed off my mother just told me my daughters name is awful 🤬🤬🤬

Tell her you think your name is awful so you can't really trust get judgement (Idk if you like your name or not)

But this is why we don't announce names

@newlyironman, my name isn’t even the name I was born with they changed it after I got adopted

Everyone always has something to say but it’s the name you like and stick to it don’t let them bring you down. They’ll get the hang of the name and will have to suck it up. My family was the same with both my kids but I just brushed their comments off and stuck with the name

@annadoran09, trust I know how you feel that was my mother in law with my first. His name is Damian and cuz she never liked the name she told me she would call him Demon for life. Once he was born she felt bad so she just calls him by his name now with my 2nd we named him Derwin they can’t even pronounce it but they try even though they hate the names. Stick with the name you want once your baby is born they will focus more on the love for them than the name.

My dad didn't like the name I picked out if I had a daughter...I didn't take it personal though cause I don't give a shit who doesn't like the names I pick out lol my child I get to know him or her whatever I want to

Getting over it

My dad gave us a lot of grief when we picking out names for my daughter (at the time we didn't know what the gender was) we ended up changing the name we picked for a girl, but it still taught me to not give a crap what anyone says and to keep all my personal beliefs and wants to myself. So for this pregnancy, not only do we not know the gender, but the names are a complete secret until baby arrives.

My mother told me the same few weeks back. My husband told me not to worry and just ignore it
