😐for those I haven't shared my picture with I'm a light skin black woman. Now with that said I work with a team of White and Latin people in a predominantly white town, everytime a black male client comes in they say he's up to fraud. This makes me so F***ing sick and when I say something they say relax it's just a joke. 😑No it's not.

I would report it to HR that’s ridiculous. I’m a Latina pretty much lighter than a lot of white girls (but I fake tan lol) and I would NEVER MAKE JOKES LIKE THIS not even in the privacy of my own home. That’s just disgusting

That’s bullshit

@tribe.of.judah I've been sitting at my desk silent since

Мама двоих (младенец)
How disgusting of them to say such things. 😤 There is never an appropriate time or place for comments like that...

Мама сына-младенца, беременна (30 нед.)
They used to do that at my old job. Called my black co worker "eccentric" and they made her meet with hr because she made a co worker cry with her aggressive tone of voice. I was like wtf?!?!

@a.lares what! Are you serious

We’re used to people judging us based off of our dark skin. 🤷🏾♀️ it’s terrible but apparently this is America. I don’t do certain things or shop certain places because I don’t have the time and energy to defend myself from idiots.
babygrif·
Im sorry. This makes me so angry and sad.
Ann G·
@tyvae that's true this IS AMERICA but why move backwards to divide ourselves when our ancestors worked so hard and sacrificed so much for us to even be able to work for the same companies and shop in the same places. Coming from not being able to drink from a certain water fountain. In my eyes color is just skin and skin is just a color. Every race have wealthy, poor, ghetto, and middle class people.
Tyvae·
@ann.g., I don’t think we’re moving backwards, but we’re definitely not progressing very well right now. It’s safer for me to stay inside and mind my business rather than get the police called on me for being black and have a possibility of getting shot at or being detained for little to no reason. I would say I’m afraid to live my life the way that I would like. I went to an predominantly white high school and graduated in 2012. I was the only black girl to walk the stage.... I can say I did not experience any racism from my classmates thankfully. I’m thankful that people do realize that wrong is wrong and attempt to stand up for those who are afraid to.

Ya it’s harassment and if it makes you uncomfortable you should report it, especially if you’ve asked them to stop and they haven’t.
