He didn’t want to see your child and listen to his lungs or check his ears?

You may still want to get a second opinion or actually take him in. I’m surprised the doctor felt comfortable making that diagnosis over the phone. When I was 5, I was having trouble breathing and doctors thought it was either asthma or respiratory infection. Turned out one of my lungs was completely full of fluid and the other was half full. They did emergency surgery to put a chest tube in and drain my lungs. The infection had actually turned into a severe case of pneumonia. That’s obviously not a common situation, but because of it, I’m always super paranoid when it comes to my own kids. I always make the doctor listen to their lungs, etc. Hope he starts to feel better though!

Military doctors are good about just checking you over but I can’t go to another doctor without a referral so I could try to set up an appointment still, if it persists. Right now I’m just going to monitor how my son is doing and go from there. @laniejay, @chelseaz,

@laniejay, no he asked some questions and asked what what we were doing for care. Said if anything gets worse like high fevers not enough breaths, etc. go to urgent care or ER and said it sounds like an upper respiratory infection. I’m just going to play it by day and I feel like it’s worse I’ll do more about it
