Anyone else go through this ?!
So I’ve been pumping for almost 18 weeks now .. and I’ve donated milk about 2 times .
My boyfriend told me this morning “ if you were as dedicated at work like you are at pumping you’ll get multiple promotions “ ... yes ! I am super dedicated ! I want to reach my 1 year goal ..
I know he’s not a fan (mainly because it’s a turnoff for him) but guess what honey ?! ITS FREE AND WHATS BEST FOR MY SON ! Either way work life doesn’t work like that , you don’t get promoted as easily when you busy your ass .
Is your husband or boyfriend a supporter of your BFing or pumping ?
@glencoco, it’s not mostly saying t , it’s the faces he makes lol so i know he’s turned off and obviously pumping isn’t supposed to look sexy !
@mommytok, that’s great ! He was very supportive ! I have talked to him and told him i just need your support when i felt like giving up .. but now i just ignore the ignorant comments and tell him over and over it’s free & to shut it lol
@alishap1212, yessss ! That’s what i love , it’s free lol
@monkeymomma2, yeah I just ignore him and continue doing it 🤷🏻♀️😂 I’m like get over it .. i Warner him when i was pregnant that no formula will be given
@februarybabyx2, maybe it’s because breastfeeding hasn’t been as easy this time around. But he’s constantly asking did you pump ... or why haven’t I seen you pump ... watching what I eat 😩 maybe I’m hormonal but it’s driving me crazy! Just leave me alone and let me do what I need to do!
My husband supports me because his mom and sisters did it and it’s free. If he didn’t support it we’d be going rounds. Telling you that you’re a turn off for providing healthy food for your child is rude af.
Sounds immature. My husband was super supportive of my breastfeeding my daughter. Made me meals and brought them to me when I was stuck under an eating baby for hours. Then when I was worn out and super stressed and decided to start with formula, he was also supportive and was so excited he could do all the feedings at night and I could get a good nights sleep. Maybe sit down and have a convo with him about it? Or have a LC come to your house maybe they can help get through to him?
Yes my husband is super supportive of my decision to breast feed and even when it was hard he was always there for the support. I love the fact that I am the soul provider of nourishment for my baby and an add d bonus it’s free !
Ohh jezz he definitely should be used to it then. Ik I was the worst when it came to this stuff I had to ryme or reason the way I pumped and fed she eat like ever hour for 6 months and u pumping so randomly I over produced though lucky so I didn't have much to worry about. Maybe he should do some research on it that always helps my husband
@februarybabyx2, that’s what he doesn’t like for the milk to go bad. But either than that he’s good with being supportive
@blessedmommy-2, i pump in the car and just cover myself because the milk can go bad .. i dont even car when people give me weird looks .. i pump as well because he wouldn’t latch on .. and also because i am back at work .
He at least understands !
@monkeymomma2, i exclusively breastfed my daughter for 9 months . It shouldn’t be anything new to him ! He thinks pumping is a one time a day thing . I tried to explain to him that it’s on demand . You need a schedule with pumping, just like when babies eat . He thinks i do it because I like to .. no i get exhausted pumping all day long, it’s draining .. but i wants what’s best for my baby .
Mine says it’s fine with him as long as I can breastfeed as long as possible to our 2nd baby the only thing he hates is going in out in this heat and the milk to go bad or me having to pump in public just cuz my son doesn’t latch on. So he wants me to kinda give up when we go out and give him formula which I’m against right now
@chasha2017, he just doesn’t like seeing it . I am basically the only person in my family who has breastfeed and pumped .. his family has never breastfed either . So to him and his family it’s weird .
I try to explain to people who don’t understand that breasts were made to feed the babies . Not for sexual purposes . But as always many men sexualize breast .
For example , it’s okay to see girls topless or stripping but they throw fits if seeing women breastfeeding ! I don’t get it !
@februarybabyx2 I hope he comes around to it sometimes them kinda things take some adusting my husband was convinced our daughter hated him for the first like four months then one day it like clicked
My husband loves that I breastfeed. Now I'm pumping more, but he still loves it.
@monkeymomma2, yes i agree . Either way a fed baby is best . I just try to remind him, how expensive formula can be . With the way our bills are now, i told him we couldn’t afford it . That’s why i am so dedicated in making enough for him and freezing the rest . I wish he was more supportive though. I think it’s amazing that our bodies can nourish our babies !
How is that a turn off for him? We have breasts for the purpose of feeding and nourishing our children. He needs to grow up, seriously.
My husband loved me bf., He thinks it's the neatest thing That I can feed our baby naturally we also looked into what's in baby formula and it's really not great so he liked that to I do think he wished he ocould have done more to help so I'd pump and put it in a bottle for him.
( Not saying there is ANYTHING wrong with formula fed babys bf isn't for everyone and that's fine)
Yesterday I went out with my boyfriend went to watch a movie, me and him don't live together yet. but point is yesterday when he was dropping me off his like sleep over at my house witch the mom and dad lives. I said no,
his response was why is everyone deciding or making choices for you and their going to do the same with the baby, when I know that's not true. what he thinks is that my mom tells me not to sleep over. So he left all mad. and I felt in my heart that he went on and cheated on me...

Transgender children
So I just learned that in my kids school district (my kids aren't in school yet my oldest will be starting kindergarten next September) there are twin boys who identify as girls. They are 5 years old. What's your opinions on this matter given they are 5!!! I don't believe that at that age they really understand the whole thing. So the entire school had to take a course on how to handle transgender children. For example they can't say girls go this or boys do that. What are...
Science!
My friend posted this on facebook last night and said her kids were asleep within minutes. It's a song that scientists created to help people fall asleep. I was skeptical but I thought what the hay, I'll try it out. I didn't bank on Dh falling asleep, but both him and lo were asleep by minute 2. And lo slept six straight hours. ?
@februarybabyx2, and the best thing you can possible do for baby
