So I have a question 😁 when you made baby cereal for a breastfed baby did you use formula to make it or just breastmilk…

You use breastmilk. If they aren't used to formula it could upset them more being mixed w solids

@laniejay, maybe her baby doesn’t fit this 6 month criteria 🙄 I was fed solids at 3 months. No issues whatsoever.

@carusod91, the post I linked addresses all of that is said. @jessiebear21, the rules for preemies are 6 months adjusted and ALL milestones as well. I had a preemie- I am more versed in preemie nutrition than infant 😉

I make a 6oz bottle as usual and then put 1oz in the cereal and then he drinks his bottle

I get all this info and thanks for sharing but honestly I am so tired of people trying to push my ideas. I am her mother and I am going to do what I feel is best and if that’s feeding her now then that’s what I’m going to do. Every baby is different they are not little robots made in a factory one will be different then the others! So thank you again but I’m tired of moms trying to make me feel bad about what I feel is right for my daughter 👌🏼🌹

So my baby’s doctor said to basically feed him 1-2 tbsp solids and then finish off with milk. 3 meals a day. And to use breast milk in his food :)

@jessiebear21 she will enjoy eating 😊 i fed my kids cereal early as well my 2 year old i started at 2 months he took to it very well i fed it to him in the morning for a few weeks then did it evening and morning. When i got him up to 3 servings a day i started introducing purées i made my own baby food and used my breast milk. Good luck dear.

@tyrellp, oh! Did you put the breastmilk in while you purée the food or before you serve it?

@jessiebear21 yeah you add the breastmilk to make the food smooth just add as much as you need and you can put it in ice cube trays freeze it one ice cube is a good serving
