I wanted to do a blood test to find out the gender, but I think I should wait to find out for myself. I just really don’t want to wait though ugh. Any thoughts?🤔
@lillys.mommy oh I see. Thanks I'll stick with the doctors advice on this one not to be rude or anything but agree to disagree I guess. 😉
They had the blood test at the doc office and it was just wrong. They aren’t 100%.@turk,
I really wanted to do it but I feel like it would be ruining the surprise and it wouldn’t be as exciting as seeing what gender the baby is myself.
I found out at 12 weeks through the blood test medicaid paid for it i was glad i did
Waiting for the ultrasound is what most do but in my situation I'm happy I did the blood test at 9 weeks. I've had 3 additional ultrasounds because the way my son is turned they are not able to see everything (the boy parts) I actually have another next tuesday. So with that said if I would not have done the blood test I would still not know what I'm having. It's kinda whatever works for u. Good luck😊
I’m glad I waited until 20 weeks. My doctor was trying to charge $300 to find out early. I put that morning toward getting some furniture for his room.
It was also great to wait and see it in the ultrasound with my SO.
We waited for the ultrasound to find out gender. I’m glad we did that, because others that found out right away said they had nothing to look forward to since they already knew.
@turk, oh I’m not telling you to not get it just letting you know it isn’t 100% so if you find out the gender that route you should wait to buy anything or announce it until it’s confirmed at 20 weeks.
