So We went to a pool party yesterday at our nephews and his neighbor was there with her two girls. Her oldest daughter and my daughter are about the same age and we’re playing together. After visiting for awhile I figured out who the father of her girls is. She said their dads father has nothing to do with the girls, he’s just a drunk, and has barely even seen him. I thought that was sad but didn’t think too much of it,his loss really. Then I got home and it really hit me who he was. He worked with my dad when my dad died. He was drunk at work, not following safety procedures, and as a result my dads dead. My dad would have LOVED his grandkids, but never got the chance to meet them, watch my siblings graduate, or my sisters get married...and this man doesn’t even have anything to do with his family. Doesn’t even try. What this guy is taking for granted, my dad never got the chance to experience. Sorry for the long post, I just am annoyed by the situation and need to vent.
